APD investigates armed Toot'N Totum robbery

On March 27, 2013 at approximately 6:36 p.m. Amarillo Police officers responded to a robbery call at the Toot'N Totum in the 3100 block of Plains Boulevard.

A female employee working at the time of the robbery told police that she was finishing a transaction when the robbery suspect entered the store. She told police that the man was carrying a handgun when he entered the store, approached the register and demanding money. The employee gave him the money and the man left the store.

Witnesses told police they saw the man get into a white or light gray Chevrolet or GMC pickup and then drive south on Virginia Street.

The robbery suspect is described as a bald, white male in mid 20s to 30s. He was wearing a camouflage bandana over his face, a reddish-orange shirt and khaki shorts.
