AMARILLO, TX - Another surge of Arctic air is headed toward the High Plains Sunday night and just like last week, another upper-level disturbance is going to be moving in to top of the cold air.
So, that means a good chance of snow for everybody? I wish that was the case. Instead, the disturbance will be having to deal with another very dry atmosphere with little or no moisture to work with. So, only the High Plains residents who live along and north of Interstate 40 will have a slight chance at some snow and the northern TX and OK Panhandles have the best chances of seeing any accumulating snow.
IF the snow does accumulate, snowfall totals will be an inch or less. So, just like the last few light snows we have seen, most of us will miss out and those who do see the much-needed moisture won't see much.
