The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting and looking for those responsible.
Police Officers were called to the 3000 block of Northeast 11th just after midnight on Sunday in reference to a shooting that had just happened. When officers arrived on scene, they said officers discovered a 58-year old female who had suffered gunshot wounds to her lower body. The female was inside a house on that street with another female and male who police said were not injured. The victim was transported to a local hospital with possible life threatening injuries and later taken to another facility for further medical treatment. According to the vicitm's brother, she was taken to Lubbock where she's in ICU. He said she was shot in the leg and police believe it was a drive-by shooting.
