Amarillo to add high paying jobs
Amarillo, Texas —
Amarillo will soon see more high paying jobs. Maxor, the pharmaceutical company, plans to create 375 positions.
The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) approved an incentive plan Tuesday for Maxor to retain employees and add jobs. The company would get $5.5 half million in the next year and half if it keeps all of its current jobs and adds more. The new jobs would pay around $70,000 a year.
“These jobs are way above the average salary for our community and the Panhandle,” said Barry Albrecht, president and CEO of the AEDC.
Amarillo city council must still approve the incentive package.
