Amarillo runaway Haley Wilson has been found, according to a Tweet today by her father on Twitter.
It's a story that drew worldwide attention when her father appealed to the masses last week. He used the power of social media to help find Haley.
Ray Wilson, Haley's dad, Tweeted this Tuesday morning:
Haley, 17 years old, dissapeared the day after Christmas, Dec. 26. Ray said he woke up on the 27th and she was gone. That's when he posted to his Facebook page and Twitter account. Shortly after, he created a video that went viral.
The video was viewed more than 620,000 in just a handful of days. People from across the nation were busy retweeting and posting updates. At one point, on Saturday, Haley even updated her own Facebook page saying she was safe. Ray was led to believe she was in California and he was concentrating his efforts there.
A Facebook page was created to help find Haley. It now has more than 5,000 likes. Since Haley is 17 years old, she is considered an adult in Texas. She was entered into a runaway database. Ray is now headed to San Diego, according to his Twitter.
