The Amarillo Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a possible victim of a domestic violence situation.

Police said around 5:45 Saturday evening officers were sent to the intersection of SE 12th and S Cleveland Street on the situation.

That's where witnesses saw a Hispanic female get out of a four-door gray Pontiac Grand Am and began running from the car.

According to police, the driver drove up on the curb in an apparent attempt to run her over but police said the car missed her and hit a fence.

As the female continued running south on Cleveland, APD said the driver got out of the car and chased her on foot.

The suspect then caught the female, put her back in the car and left the scene, according to police.

APD describes the suspect has a this Hispanic male with short, black hair.

Witnesses told police the vehicle had a factory spoiler on the trunk.

Police said the vehicle may also have scratches on the front from hitting the fence.

APD believes this may be a domestic violence situation from a remark witnesses heard the female say to the male.

If you have any information on this incident, you are asked to call the Amarillo Police Department at 806-378-3038.
