Amarillo Police need help locating two wanted fugitives

Two wanted men out of New Mexico have been staying at a motel in Amarillo. Now, the Amarillo Police Department is asking for help finding the men.
Saturday at 11:30 a.m., the Amarillo Police Department said they received information that the two suspects wanted on felony warrants issued in New Mexico were staying in a motel in the 6000 block of Amarillo Boulevard West. Officers checked that address, but did not locate the men. That's when officers checked the Astro Motel at 5703 Amarillo Boulevard West and determined that the two men had been staying there. Officers approached the room believed to be used by the suspects and saw two people leave. The two got into a blue Chevrolet Tahoe. Officers detained them, but found that they were not the fugitives but did determine that they had been in contact with the two fugitives in the room. Officers searched the room and found that the suspects had fled, possibly by going out a small window on the back of the room. Officers found marijuana in the room and a small quantity marijuana in the vehicle. A 17-year old was arrested for possession of marijuana. A 16 year old was released to a parent.
The two wanted suspects still at large are 24-year old Nikko Nathan, a hispanic male and 22-year old Cedar Chavarria, a while male. Nathan is a 5 ft. 7 inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is wanted out of Quay County, NM, on a charge of aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm. Chavarria is 6 ft. 2 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, and is wanted for harboring an escapee/fugitive from the New Mexico State Police in Albuquerque.
