Amarillo Police look for shooting suspect

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man injured.

According to the police department, at 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning officers were called to "My Club" at 601 North Eastern on a reports a man had been shot. The suspect in the shooting was last seen leaving the parking lot of the club driving a silver 1999 Lincoln SUV. Responding officers were able to locate the suspect's vehicle at Amarillo Blvd. and Nelson. Authorities say the suspect refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The officers lost sight of the vehicle in the area of Amarillo Blvd. and Hughes.

The male victim, who's identit
y has not been released, suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say the shooting happened in the parking lot of the club. A single shell casing was found at the scene. No one else was hurt by the gunfire.
