Amarillo police investigate double homicide

UPDATE 6/19 9:15 A.M.:

The Amarillo Police Department issued two murder warrants for Nga Lone Aung, 38, for the murders of Phetkeo Phetkeo and Phonsavahn Phetsavahn.

On June18, investigators of the Special Crimes Unit obtained information that Nga Aung was in Liberal, Kan.

Officers of the LIberal Police Department were contacted and arrested Nga Aung. He was booked into the Seward County Jail in Liberal.

The Special Crimes Unit continues to investigate this homicide and asks anyone with information about these murders to call (806)378-9468.


The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a double homicide and need your help finding those responsible.

Amarillo Police Officers were called to 1216 Jasmine around 12:13 a.m. Saturday on shots fired and a female down. Officers arrived and found a man had been killed from what appears to be a gunshot wound. A female was suffering from what also appears to be a gunshot wound. That female, 45-year old Phonsavahn Phetsavahn was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she later died. The male victim has been identified as 52-year old Phetkeo Phetkeo.

Justice of the Peace Thomas Jones has ordered autopsies which are scheduled for Monday morning in Lubbock. The Special Crimes Unit continues its investigation and needs help identifying the suspect or suspects in this double homicide.
