Amarillo police investigate deadly motorcycle crash

The Amarillo Police Department is looking for witnesses to a weekend motorcycle wreck that killed one person and left another with life threatening injuries.

Amarillo Police said they dispatched officers to a motorcycle crash in the 600 block of North Mirror Saturday afternoon around 1:48 p.m.. Upon their arrival they found a Harley Davidson motorcycle had been northbound on Mirror Street. Police said the motorcycle was going too fast to negotiate the turn, left the roadway, struck a traffic sign, and then came to rest in a ditch. The driver of the motorcycle, 21-year old Jordan Dale Siesser, died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash. His passenger, 39-year old Inez Ellena Coronel was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

The Amarillo Police Department officials said Siesser may have been racing a gray extended cab truck. Justice of the Peace Nancy Bosquez has ordered an autopsy. The crash is under investigation by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
