Amarillo Crime Stoppers extends reward for information on "dangerous felon"
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
Amarillo Crime Stoppers is increasing their reward offered for a wanted fugitive to $1,000.
According to police, 57-year-old Dallas Moore is wanted out of both Potter and Randall Counties. He has one bond surrender warrant out of Potter County for the original charge of burglary of a habitation with intended other felony. He also has two bond surrenders out of Randall County with the original charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from a September 2016 incident in which an 83-year-old woman was injured during a home invasion robbery. After investigating, police developed information that Moore was the suspect in the home invasion. He was featured as the Amarillo Crime Stoppers "fugitive of the week" at the end of September.
Moore was arrested and charged with the crimes in January of this year. During his arrest, Moore attempted to escape police custody as he was being escorted into the APD building. Although he did break free from an officer, he was re-captured and later booked into the Potter County Jail. Since then, Moore was released on bond, but APD said he has surrendered those bonds.
ACS is now offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of Moore. Police say Moore should be considered dangerous.
