Amarillo LGC, City Council to host open house for design of MPEV
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
The City of Amarillo announced on Friday that there has been an open house scheduled regarding the Multi-Purpose Event Venue (MPEV).
The Amarillo Local Government Cooperations and Amarillo City Council want to engage with residents as the design for the MPEV progresses, according to the City.
The community open house is scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, during which time, the design architects and City staff will present design concepts prepared to-date. They will also solicit comments and thoughts from those who attend.
The City said similar information will also be presented by the design architect at the Regular Meeting of the City Council the same night at 5 p.m.
According to the City, residents may also indicate their preference of the 14 designs by visiting the City's website and participating in the feedback poll.
