The survey, conducted weekly, found that the average price of gasoline in Amarillo is currently $3.03 a gallon.
That beats both the nationwide and state prices. The nationwide retail gasoline price is holding steady at $3.38 a gallon and Texas' average price at the pump is $3.25 per gallon.
Texarkana, Dallas and Fort Worth are at the bottom of the list with the most expensive gasoline in the state. Their price was listed at $3.28.
According to analysts, oil markets continue to be under pressure with mounting international tensions with Iran.
In the past, Amarillo has often ranked as the city with the highest gasoline.
