Amarillo gas prices jump 20 cents

According to AAA Fuel Gauge Report, Amarillo gas prices have jumped from $3.39 per gallon to $3.59 per gallon.

That is 20 cents in one week which brings Amarillo to the most expensive gas in the state.

Currently the state average for gasoline is $3.41 per gallon, up 3 cents from last week. The national average is up a nickel this week bringing prices at the pump to $3.60.

While Amarillo has the highest gas prices in the state according to AAA, the least expensive gas can be found in Beaumont. Prices there are $3.31 per gallon.

AAA said higher crude oil prices, limited supplies and refinery maintenance are factors for the higher costs.
