Tips lead to arrest of Amarillo fugitive with "violent tendencies"
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
Amarillo Crime Stoppers "Fugitive of the Week" Jesus Luis Perez has been arrested in Childress.
Perez was sent out as the "Fugitive of the Week" on Thursday. Police said Perez was wanted out of Potter County and Childress County. Perez was said to have two bond surrenders out of Potter County with original charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. Police said Perez also has a parole violation warrant out of Childress County with original charges of Family Assault and Evading Arrest.
Police had stated that Perez had "violent tendencies."
APD said several tips were received by Amarillo Crime Stoppers on the possible location of Perez. Childress police followed up on one of those tips and officers found Perez in a home in the 400- block of Avenue D S.E. in Childress. He was arrested and booked into the Childress County Jail for his warrants around 11 p.m. on Thursday.
