Amarillo community welcomes fall season

T oday is the first day of fall, and that means pumpkins and lots of them. P eople didn't waste any time welcoming the fall season as they shopped for pumpkins with a familiar face.

F armer Pat Anthony who sells pumpkins at the popular C oulter Gardens, said although the medium size orange jack-o-lantern pumpkins are still the most popular, the casper white pumpkins are starting to become a fall favorite.

"A lot of people still remember me , and the parents especially will come back and say ' F armer Pat how ya' doing this year?' And I've seen a lot of these kids grow up and go off to college," Anthony said.
