Amarillo Chamber of Commerce hosts "Summer Celebration" networking event

Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the summer season with this year's 2013 Summer Celebration.

Early Thursday afternoon, crews were hard at work setting up the annual summer party. Formerly called "Summer Fiesta", the Chamber decided to change the name and add some changes to the event.

More than 25 restaurants will be on-site to serve up local favorites for Amarillo residents and business owners.

"We have about 25 restaurants that will be here, but about 10 of them are participants that have never done this before," said Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Communications Director Penni Bentley. "Some are relatively new in Amarillo and maybe you haven't had a chance to try them."

Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat food and drink will be available for a flat price of $30 at the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce lawn off 10th and Polk. They'll also have live music from Global Nomads.
