Amarillo business shows its Panhandle Spirit with water and blood donation drive

Helping organizations that give so much to us is the idea behind United Supermarkets "Water and Blood" Donation Drive. At the 45th and Bell location, anyone can drop off water donations to go toward the Texas Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Coffee Bloodmobile is also on site for anybody who wants to donate the gift of life. Right now, the center says there's a high demand for O+, A+, and O-. United Supermarket says it's just one way it can show its Panhandle Spirit.

"We are always looking for opportunities to help in the community and I think with those two, we have used them in the past and we have had a really good partnership. We know there is a water need and they are always looking for blood donations so a good opportunity to help two organizations in need right now," said United Supermarkets General Manager, Fernando Noriega.
