Amarillo Bulls hockey team raises money for local charity

The Amarillo Bulls hockey team is trying to help their community one meal at a time.

Bulls player Ryan Cole started "Tip a Bull" in Support of Habitat for Humanity. He has made it his mission, along with the help of his teammates, to raise money for the local Habit for Humanity.

Chili's at I-40 and Western, as well as the Coulter location, have opened their doors in support of the fundraiser.

The team has split into several groups to see which team can raise the most money for the local chapter. Players in each team are acting as wait staff and hosts to raise money in support of their teammate. They are hoping to raise $10,000 by the end of this year.

"Habitat's one of the few organizations that really keeps the money in the U.S. And helps build our community. Almost every community. It's full of volunteers, hardworking people who just want to see our communities get better," says Cole.

Ten percent from each meal will go directly to support Habitat for Humanity. The team will be at the I-40 and Western location, as well as the Chili's on Coulter, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
