Amarillo bank robbed at gunpoint

onday morning at approximately 10:38 a.m. Amarillo Police officers responded to the 5700 block of southwest 34th on a robbery call.
When police arrived at First Bank of the Southwest witnesses told them that a suspect entered the bank with a shot gun and brown cloth bag. The suspect pointed the gun at employees and climbed over the counter. After taking money from a drawer, the suspect left the bank.
Surveillance cameras show the suspect running from the bank and a witness saw a light a cream or gray Chevrolet Tahoe leaving an alley right after the suspect fled from the bank. According to police, a Hispanic man with a ponytail may have been driving the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen in the area of 34th and Kingston.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s with a thin build and medium height. He was wearing a dark colored jacket with a light colored design and light blue jeans. Surveillance video shows the man wearing sunglasses and a gray cloth completely covering his head and face.
