According to AAA retail gasoline prices across the state dropped eight cents this week. However Amarillo and the Austin area are reported to have the priciest gas in the state. Drivers in Amarillo are paying $3.24 per gallon, which is down 9 cents from last week.
AAA says that gas prices could continue to fall in the coming months due to sufficient supplies, flat demand and the cheaper winter blend gas.
Average gas prices in Texas are well below the national average which sits at $3.24 per gallon.
