Jena McFall, of the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society, appeared on KVII's Daybreak recently to showcase a few of the animals up for adoption. McFall is a regular on Daybreak, joining the crew of Meredith Keller, Steve Kersh, and Anthony Pittman every Wednesday morning.
"It's a great opportunity for the Humane Society to show the television viewers the wonderful animals that are ready to be adopted," said McFall. "It's a really simple process and we just want to find them homes."
When McFall brought a dog named Winnie to the studio, it took a while before the young pooch got comfortable with Anthony. Although Winnie had a tough time relaxing for the television segment, a local viewer fell in love with the energetic dog and adopted her later that day.
"That's what this is all about," said McFall. "There are some good people out there who want to love and take care of these animals."
