$46K worth of marijuana seized in DPS traffic stop

April 2, 2013 at approximately 2:44 p.m. the Texas Department of Public Safety stopped an Infiniti car traveling east on Interstate 40 for a traffic violation.

During the stop, a DPS trooper searched the vehicle and found 87 bundles of marijuana inside the trunk of the vehicle. The 102 pounds of marijuana discovered in the trunk is valued at more than $46,000.

56-year-old Juvenal Mendoza-Barragan of Albuquerque N.M. was driving the vehicle allegedly transporting the drugs from Albuquerque N.M. to Oklahoma City Okla.

Mendoza-Barragan was arrested for possession of marijuana and booked into the Carson County Jail.
