4-year-old taken by grandmother, possibly in the Panhandle

Police are asking for the public's help finding a 4-year-old girl who was taken by her maternal grandmother.

The child, four-year-old Bridgette Renee Sholz, was last seen on Friday, March 16. She is described as 3'10" with light brown hair and blue eyes.

According to police, the whereabouts of the child and her grandmother are currently unknown but they believe they could be anywhere in the Texas Panhandle.

The grandmother, 58-year-old Sherry Rosenberger is described as 5'8", 150 pounds with reddish blonde hair and green eyes.

Rosenberger's vehicle is a silver 2003 Lincoln Towncar with Texas license plates SNP242.

Police said Sherry last lived in Snyder, Texas but has ties to Amarillo.

As for the child, police said she previously lived with her father in Albuquerque, N.M. Her mother, according to police, lives in Amarillo.

A warrant has been issued for Rosenberger for Interference with Child Custody.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the child of Rosenberger is asked to call 911 or Amarillo Police at 378-3038.
