4 Texas sisters make history at West Point Military Academy

The Duke sisters will leave a legacy at West Point Military Academy by being the first four consecutive sisters to attend the academy.

CNN -- Four sisters in East Texas are making history at West Point Military Academy.

Haley Duke is following the footsteps of her three older sisters. She'll be attending the prestigious military college West Point in the fall.

This family will leave a lasting legacy by being the first four sisters to consecutively be admitted to the military college.

Diana Duke was the first sister to be accepted. She knew it was a big step, and wasn't so sure about joining the Army, and her sisters weren't so sure either.

Diana soon realized it was the bestway she could give back to our country. She graduated in 2009 and now serves as a captain in the Army.

The legacy, however, almost didn't happen, according to second in line, Kelley Duke. But she, too, fell in love with the school.

And then Adrienne. And now Haley.

And it's not something that's easy to achieve. It requires a nomination from a congressman or senator.

Haley is planning on studying engineering at West Point, and is hopingto some day be an astronaut.
