On Monday, four people were killed in an accident in Ochiltree County.
Manuel Jimenez, 32, of Canyon was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva south on Highway 70 with two passengers, Eunice Jimenez, 24, of Canyon and a 2-year-old child.
Moises Ceniceros-Fraire, 34, of Booker was driving a 2006 Ford F-250 north on Highway 70 with Rodrigo Jiminez, 19, of Perryton, and observed the Captiva swerving. The F-250 moved to the shoulder.
The Captiva then overcorrected to the right and then sharply over to the left, going across the highway and striking the F-250 in the front left corner.
Both vehicles traveled into the bar ditch and the Captiva erupted into flames.
The F-250 rolled onto its top. The driver of the F-250 was able to escape before it also caught on fire.
All three occupants of the Captiva were killed in the accident. The passenger of the F-250 was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the F-250 was the only survivor. He's currently at Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton in stable condition.
