20-year-old Amarillo man killed in early morning crash
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
A 20-year-old man has died following an early Thursday morning crash at on North Western Street.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the single-vehicle crash happened around 1 a.m.
DPS said Randy Allan Weld was driving a 2001 Chevy Suburban north of I-40 on Western Street when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times.
According to DPS, Weld was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, DPS said.
The crash is still under investigation at this time.
