2 arrested in Amarillo salon robbery


uesday evening Amarillo Police officers responded to the Bebe Nail Salon in the 2300 block of south Georgia on an armed robbery call.

Investigating officers learned that two suspects entered the store asking about salon services. An employee working at the time informed the suspects the salon was closed. The suspects left and returned later with a gun. A male suspect pulled the gun from his waistband and took money from the cash register. Both suspects fled after taking money from the store.

According to police, witnesses provided the description of the suspects and called 911 to report one of the suspects running across the parking lot with a gun in his hand. Officers located the suspects in the 2800 block of 27th with a .22 caliber handgun a few feet from the suspect.

The suspects were identified as 21-year-old Stefan Ryan Thomas and 18-year-old Krysta Hope McIntyre.

As police were trying to place Thomas inside of the patrol vehicle, he hit an officer in the head with his head. Thomas was booked into the Potter County Correctional Center for aggravated robbery, assault on a public servant and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. McIntyre was booked for aggravated robbery.
