2 arrested after APD serves search warrant

After a week long investigation, the Amarillo Police Narcotics Unit (APNU) obtained and executed a Narcotic Search Warrant at 907 S. Birmingham along with SWAT.
During the search of the residence, approximately 11 pounds of hydro marijuana and 143 grams of methamphetamine were seized. Two handguns were recovered, one of which was reported as stolen in 2013. The street value of the drugs is approximately $52,000.
Irma Castillo Carrasco, 35, and George Anthony Zuniga, 26, were booked into the Potter County Detention Center and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 over four grams and under 200 grams, and Possession of Marijuana over five pounds and under 50 pounds.
The case is still being investigated with additional charges pending.
