Sat, 07 Sep 2013 16:18:10 GMT — An 11-year old boy was killed Friday night after being struck by a vehicle near I-27 and McCormick Road.According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened Friday night around 10:05 p.m. Troopers said a 1997 GMC Pickup truck driven by Jeremy Dean Duncan was traveling northbound in the outside lane of the I-27 access road in front of Amberwood Trailer Park. That's when officials said two juvenile males ran in front of his vehicle across the access road. Duncan told troopers he looked to see where the first juvenile had stopped and struck the second juvenile that was running across the same road. Troopers said the 11-year old suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later at Northwest Texas Hospital. No details as to why the juveniles were running across the road have been given.
