onday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m. Amarillo Police officers responded to the 1700 block of west 3rd after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle and trailer. According to police a Red Chevrolet Pickup pulling a black utility trailer was stolen.
Later that day officers observed a vehicle matching the stolen vehicle's description. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver evaded police until officers spotted the vehicle again and stopped the vehicle in the 2700 block of north Vernon.
4 people were taken into custody Amarillo Police Department said in a news release. The driver, a 15-year-old male was arrested and taken to the Youth Center of the High Plains for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
19-year-old Raymond Brant was arrested and booked into the Potter County Jail for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Another passenger, a 16-year-old juvenile was arrested and taken to the Youth Center of the High Plains for criminal trespass motor vehicle. A fourth passenger was released pending further investigation.
According to APD, the truck was returned to the owner and the trailer was later found in the 400 block of northwest 15th in an Alley.
