The foreclosed house with an unkempt lawn in Amarillo's Puckett neighborhood that Pronews 7 told you about Monday has now been cleaned up.
Monday, the home on Oxbow Trail had weeds waist high, broken lawn furniture, snakes and foxes roaming the property. The neighbors told Pronews 7 they had complained to the City of Amarillo for months about the nuisance property.
Tuesday, the City confirmed an independent contractor was on site and cleaned up that property. Weeds have been cut and the lawn mowed.
The City says they received four complaints on this property and the delay in response was due to the increased amount of rainfall which has delayed mowing.
Eyesore homes can be reported to the City of Amarillo and will be put on a list of nuisance homes.
