The brave folks of the Tulia Volunteer Fire Department want to restore a 1927 Southern Fire Apparatus Fire Engine.

The vintage vehicle was purchased by the City of Tulia in 1927. It was brand new back then and after many years of fighting fires in the West Texas wind, it was auctioned off in the 1960s.

Just a few years ago, the fire truck was found in Amarillo and the City of Tulia bought it back.

The Tulia Volunteer Fire Department is raising money to restore it by hosting an 4th of July celebration.
